Martin’s Wellness Pharmacy in Austin, TX, was founded by two highly renowned pharmacists, Jim and Dorinda Martin, whose lifelong dedication to health and integrity is reflected in three locations across Austin and Dripping Springs, TX. Living Proof Creative was brought in back in 2015 to design and develop an eCommerce platform that would make thousands of supplements, medical supplies, and compounded products accessible to customers across the region and beyond. In addition to building several iterations of the website, Living Proof Creative also provides ongoing digital marketing services, including content strategy, local SEO, and email campaigns. We are proud to have helped Martin’s Wellness grow its online customer base while staying true to its local roots all these years.

Creating an eCommerce platform for Martin’s Wellness presented a set of complex challenges. The site needed to accommodate a large and varied inventory, including supplements, medical supplies, and custom-compounded prescriptions, while ensuring the user experience remained intuitive and compliant with industry regulations. A simple way for customers to transfer prescriptions and have them directly delivered to their door was also a requirement in order to compete with national chain pharmacies.

Competing against major players like Amazon, Martin’s Wellness also needed a strong brand identity that emphasized local expertise and personalized service. And finally, with many customers using the platform to refill prescriptions or order supplements while on the go, a seamless and responsive mobile experience was essential to driving conversions and building loyalty.

Living Proof Creative implemented a user-first strategy from the outset, beginning with a thorough analysis of competitors and an in-depth review of customer behavior and buying patterns. An open-source Magento platform was selected to give Martin’s Wellness full flexibility in customizing product listings, streamlining navigation, and showcasing inventory with a high level of professionalism. The team carefully designed the site’s interface to reflect the pharmacy’s welcoming, in-store experience while providing users with a clean, intuitive, and informative online journey. Recognizing the importance of mobile traffic, the website was built to be fully responsive across all devices, making it easy for customers to place refills or shop for wellness products on the go. To further strengthen Martin’s presence as a trusted health resource, Living Proof Creative collaborated with the pharmacy’s staff to produce ongoing blog content and launch a monthly newsletter that shares medical updates, event news, and seasonal promotions.
